Lenses for Macro Photography

Macro lens is specifically designed for shooting an object close-up, with a long barrel for close focusing distance and optimized for high reproduction ratio.

Lens-like macro lens Minolta AF 3x-1x Macro 1.7-2.8 or Canon MP-E 65 mm f/2.8 zoom can do beyond the original size (life size) small-sized photo of an object allowing photographers immortalize the details of the object-the object as snow, flower bud, insect eyes, and so the details and the prime quality.

Macro lenses with different focal lengths typically meant for different uses:

- 45-65 mm: widely used for product photography, scene requiring natural background, and objects kecilyang sized photos can be approached without causing unwanted effects.

- 90-105 mm: for shooting flowers, insects, and various small objects at a comfortable distance.

- 150-200 mm: for taking pictures of insects and other small animals that can not be approached without causing undesirable effects, so it requires a "safe distance" to preserve it.

In addition to using a lens which is designed specifically as a macro lens, macro photography can also be done with a number of methods such as using a normal lens, but by adding "Reversing Ring '(ring / ring commutator). Ring is installed on the network filter in front of the lens which makes it possible to install a lens in the reverse position (reverse).

Another way is to place the filter close-up (auxiliary close-up lens) in front of the camera lens. This method can be performed on-camera lens camera with a permanent (fixed lens). But of course the image quality produced under the quality of the photos produced with a real macro lens.
